The charity event proved challenging and participants got to show off their competitive sides along the route. Obstacles, high and low had to be overcome and teamwork also played a part, especially for some of the trickier trials!
HAS Technology run an annual charity event, pay for the costs of the activities and match the first £50 that each member of staff raises. In 2016, staff climbed Snowdon for Alzheimer’s Society and in 2017 they ‘survived the wild’ for Headway (Brain injury charity).
HAS Technology Group Executive Chairman, Mick Crosthwaite said:
“It was great to receive nominations from staff on which charity they would like to support and this year, we decided to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation in tribute to John White, the father of our Group HR Officer Amanda Horder. “
“All participants did really well and were rewarded with a BBQ afterwards for their efforts. We will be arranging a presentation to the British Heart Foundation once all the monies have been collected.”
The British Heart Foundation funds research to beat the world’s biggest killers. They fund over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them, such as heart disease, strokes, vascular dementia and diabetes.
