Since 1999, CM has been developing innovative technology solutions to meet the needs of the home care market. This includes Older Adults, Supported Living, Children’s Services, Community Health and Extra Care.

Now part of the HAS Technology Group, CM employs 80+ staff based in offices in the Midlands and Scotland.

Our heritage

Going back to our roots

Entrepreneur, Peter Longman, identified the need for real-time monitoring of Council-funded homecare, allowing accurate, automated payment whilst ensuring visits actually took place when needed. He persuaded his friend, Chris Jackson, a talented technical developer to join him and they established CM (previously known as CM2000) in 1999. Our original software, written by Chris, was recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category 8 years later.

As the savings and quality benefits started to be understood, our customer base grew rapidly. We now work with Councils and Providers across Older Adult Services, Learning Disability Services and Children’s Services, as well as Housing Associations and Community Health Services. Our core system records 2.5 million care visits every week.

CM has enjoyed year-on-year growth, and acquired Ezitracker in 2013. Both companies are now part of HAS Technology Group.

Charitable support

Giving something back

Since CM was established, we’ve donated over £1,000,000 to charities and good causes.

Over the years, we’ve helped a wide range of organisations and appeals – ranging from international disasters - to localised initiatives. We’ve supported a diverse range of charities including Help the Heroes, Breast Cancer Care, Shelter, Headway and Scope, as well as those closer to the work we do in care, such as Alzheimers Society and the Care Workers Charity. We provide ongoing support to Age Concern Birmingham’s telephone befriending service, and we’re also supporting a number of healthcare technology projects in Uganda.  

We enjoy charity initiatives we can undertake in the office and support the MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. We offer staff the opportunity to volunteer at a once-a-month IT clinic in Age Concern’s Communitea Café.


Develop, create and innovate

Innovation has always been at the heart of CM. Eight years after we developed our original monitoring solution, this was validated when we attained the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.

We were the first supplier of a fully integrated care monitoring, scheduling and financial management solution specifically for the homecare sector, and we are currently leading the way in monitoring progress towards outcomes.

Across the HAS Technology Group we have solutions for prevention and market shaping / management.

There’s always something going on behind the scenes and we are working with a number of Councils and Providers as Development Partners of our latest innovations.

We know that our customers’ care responsibilities are 24/7 and they require secure, quality systems.

As part of HAS Technology Group, CM has an extensive team of specialists managing Compliance, Data Protection (GDPR) and IT Security.

We’re PSN compliant and independently audited and accredited to ISO 27001:2013 (Information Security Management) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management). We’re delighted to be ESPO approved for both monitoring and scheduling solutions, meaning Councils wishing to procure these services can approach us directly, with complete confidence that all the due diligence has been done for them.
