New Lone Worker Guide for Domicillary Care
Published on 29 January 2010

Skills for Care has combined with a range of organisations and has developed a new guide to help home care businesses manage lone working.

Domiciliary care is an area of work where a high proportion of lone working occurs and whilst many will carry out their role without major incident, there are occassions when staff will have to deal with situations that can cause them distress, fear or even injury.

The guide assesses the risks posed to staff and outlines a range of measures that can be used to reduce the occurance of these incidences.
