CM2000 awarded BS25999 for Business Continuity
Published on 16 December 2010

CM2000's robust business continuity planning has been recognised in the award of the internationally respected BS25999 accreditation by the British Standards Institution.

Continued operations in the event of disruption, whether due to a major disaster or a minor incident, are a fundamental requirement for any business. When you are providing a fully hosted monitoring service that protects lone workers and the most vulnerable members of the community - it becomes absolutely critical.

CM2000 are believed to be the first IT company operating in the care sector to achieve the British Standard for Business Continuity Management and had to undergo rigorous assessment from BSI Management Systems to demonstrate their procedures met the exacting requirements.

Peter Longman, Managing Director, said "The care sector operates around the clock and our customers have long insisted that we demonstrate solid plans are in place to ensure business continuity. Achieving BS25999 provides independent verification that we operate to the highest possible standards and have processes in place to ensure our resilience to any form or level of disruption."

The BS25999 standard is designed to keep business going during the most challenging and unexpected circumstances and provides the reassurance Councils and Care Providers require from their monitoring supplier.
